Parquet in the interior

Recently, more and more people are choosing parquet as flooring. But in order to make the right choice, you need to get acquainted with the advantages, disadvantages, as well as with the varieties.

The value of parquet in the interior of the room

Sex plays a very important role in the room. Natural wood is able to set the main background, under which decor is made and furniture is selected. The flooring can create coziness and comfort, so it is important to choose the right coating option. In order to correctly determine the significance, it is necessary to find out the advantages and disadvantages of this coating.

The benefits are as follows:

  1. Environmental friendliness. The coating is made of wood. It does not pollute the environment.
  2. Practicality. Wood is suitable for any design style.
  3. Compatible with decor. The coating will look beautiful with any furniture and accessories.
  4. The material is easy to care for.
  5. Durability. With proper operation, it will last more than a dozen years.
  6. The floor is easily repainted or varnished.
  7. The presence of a soundproof effect.
  8. Parquet can be repaired (there is a condition here - the thickness of the boards, if they are thick enough, repairs can be carried out several times).

But there are also disadvantages:

  1. The price of the material. It is considered one of the most expensive coatings.
  2. Difficulty in installation. To properly install it, you need basic knowledge in construction. An inexperienced person will have to call workers. And this is an additional cost.
  3. The material often needs to be polished and varnished so that defects do not appear.
  4. Wood strongly absorbs moisture and odors. This will cause rot. It must be treated with special solutions.
  5. The material is highly susceptible to mechanical damage. When moving furniture, there is a risk of scratching the surface. Pets can easily spoil the claws. Defects can also occur if you walk incorrectly (for example, in high heels).
  6. Incorrectly mounted planks may constantly fall out.

When the light parquet comes up

Light shades are suitable if you need to create a calm atmosphere and visually increase the space. Small rooms become more comfortable and look like studios. The golden surface looks like water reflecting the sun. Great look. Parquet placement depends on the material of which it is made. For example, for a room with a lot of sunlight, the following wood is suitable:

  1. Birch tree.
  2. Hornbeam.
  3. Maple.
  4. Olive.
  5. Pear.

Reference! The color looks a bit chilly, but when in contact with the rays of the sun it becomes very beautiful. Such shades will be a good addition to any furniture.

And if there is little natural light in the room, the following wood is suitable:

  1. Alder.
  2. Beech.
  3. Larch.

When to give preference to dark tones

Many people think that dark colors are better if you need to hide coating defects. But it's not right. On dark, defects can be seen better than on light. That is why, materials of a similar color are preferred rather rarely. In addition, dust and debris against such a background can be seen very well.

Light shades are used to visually increase the space, while dark ones are used for narrowing. Therefore, dark colored floors are not suitable for small rooms and apartments.

Attention! The advantage of a dark coating is its good reflectivity. By adding additional lights, and varnishing the floor, you can create a large mirror on the floor.

Ways of laying parquet depending on the interior

There are several methods for laying parquet. All of them are suitable for certain rooms. The methods are as follows:

  1. Runaway. The floor looks like bricked. Their routine is fuzzy, and the bald patches are slightly offset. An excellent solution for rooms in the style of minimalism.
  2. Checker. Parquet is made in the form of squares of the same length and width. Everything is done in the form of a chessboard (one panel is dark and the other is light).
  3. Herringbone. Parquet boards will have a 90 degree curve corner cut.
  4. Wicker basket. The ornament has a 3D effect. The effect of convex lines is created, thanks to three different shades. The model is quite complicated.
  5. Swede. Three levels are knocked out by the fourth, but in a different direction. We lay out in the form of a chessboard.
  6. Square. Good edging in the form of geometric shapes.
  7. Frieze. At the edges of the coating, patterns are made against the walls. Due to this, the parquet is well defined and looks beautiful.

Such a coating looks very nice and is suitable for any room and it can be seen in the photo. However, it is necessary to choose the right flooring, so that it is combined with the interior.
